We're more than happy to help with returns and exchanges! If you need to return or exchange an item, just make sure it's within 30 days of receiving it and is in perfect condition. Keep in mind, we can only accept one return or exchange within a 6-month period. Contact us here and we'll guide you through the process of sending the item back to us.
Some items cannot be returned for a store credit or refund:
- Any custom items; “Custom” means altering the item in any way, including altering the width, material, adding a personal engraving, and so on
- Items labeled Final Sale
- Ring below size 5 and above size 13
- Completed services such as custom engravings, rush services, Extend Shipping Protection, etc.
If you've opted for the Extend Protection Plan and decide to return your jewelry, don't worry! Extend will take care of issuing a pro-rated refund based on how long you've had the item.
As of making your purchase, we'll be glad to provide a full 100% refund. If you get in touch after 24 hours, we'll still be happy to help with a 70% refund, keeping a 30% restocking fee.
Please keep in mind that custom orders are made specially for you, so they can't be canceled for a refund or store credit.
A few more details to remember:
- If you've already had your ring or box engraved, we won't be able to refund the cost of these services.
- Rush service fees are also non-refundable.
- All refunds will be processed automatically through your original payment method for your convenience.

We'd love to meet you in person, but at the moment, we don't have a physical storefront for you to visit. Our creative team works from a cozy workshop in Ogden, UT, and we conduct all our business online. But don't worry! If you have any questions about ring designs, material options, or anything else, we're just a message away. We're excited to create your perfect ring! To give you an idea of how long it will take, here's a breakdown of our production times:
- 3 Weeks: Rings set in Titanium, Black Zirconium, Damascus Steel, or Tungsten
- 6 Weeks: Any ring containing Gold or Silver
- 8 Weeks: Women's engagement rings & any ring with precious stones
For fully custom rings, please allow 8-10+ weeks. Crafting a one-of-a-kind design takes extra time and care to make your dream ring come to life. This includes sourcing unique stones, new materials, CAD design, or custom casting based on the complexity of the design. Remember, Staghead Designs reserves the rights to any design created for a client and may share it publicly or list it on our website for purchase.
Keep in mind that the shipping method you select at checkout doesn't affect the production time of your order—it only determines how quickly your ring will be delivered once it's shipped.
If you need your ring sooner, we offer a rush service! You can add this during checkout when asked if you need your ring sooner. Please note that some restrictions apply, and additional fees may be incurred depending on the need-by date.

Because there are different fits and styles of rings, we provide the option to receive a free ring sizing kit at the time of purchase. This will place your order on hold so we can send you a ring sizing kit, along with instructions on how to size yourself properly, before we proceed with your order.
To receive the sizing kit:
- Purchase the ring you'd like to order, but rather than selecting an actual ring size you will select the Free Ring Sizing Kit option which is the first item in the Ring Size drop down menu
- We will send you the ring sizing kit using USPS First Class Mail and will include a return label inside the package for you to return your sizing kit once you have determined the size needed
- Use the QR code inside the sizing kit or contact us to submit what ring size is needed
Because we cannot begin working on the ring until we receive your final ring size, the production time does not begin until we have processed the ring size you need
If our ring sizing kit is used with your ring purchase, you can receive 1 free resize in the event it’s not a perfect fit! The ring must be returned within 30 days of receiving it in order to take advantage of this offer. In the event you need to send your ring in for the free resize, please contact us, and we will send instructions on how to do so. We will provide you with a return shipping label as well as pay for the cost of shipping the ring back to you. Both labels will be USPS First Class Mail. If you'd like to upgrade your shipping or require a signature upon arrival, please contact us for shipping options and pricing.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer the free ring sizing kit for orders outside of the U.S. If you are outside of the U.S., don’t want to use our kit, or don’t have time because of an upcoming date, please thoroughly review our Sizing Guidelines page to ensure you get sized accurately by a local jeweler! There are different “fits” of rings, so not all ring sizes fit the same, and things such as the width of a ring do affect what ring size may be needed.
*Rings made in black zirconium or heat-treated titanium will be resized by machining out the interior of the ring, which will remove the top layer and expose the gray color underneath; however, this is typically not seen when the ring is worn.
*Ring sizes obtained from our ring sizing kit are only valid for 30 days and are only valid if the correct ring sizing kit was used
If you receive your ring and it doesn't fit, you can send it in for 1 free resize as long as you selected and used our free ring sizing kit at the time of ordering! The ring must be returned within 30 days of receiving it in order to receive the free resize. If you did not use our free kit or will be returning the ring after the 30-day period, we would still love to help you get a ring that fits you! Please contact us for options and pricing.

Women’s Engagement Rings: Because we know you don’t want to spoil the surprise of your proposal, we do offer 1 free lifetime resize so you can resize the ring after the fact! If a ring tracer or ring guard was bought at the same time as the engagement ring, you will also receive one free resize for those as well.
*Only valid for traditional women’s engagement rings seen in our Engagement Rings collection & for rings purchased on or after January 1st, 2022
*Please note that for orders outside of the U.S., we will not provide a return shipping label; however, we will cover the cost of us shipping the ring back to you
While we do everything we can to make each ring as durable as possible, they are made using natural and meaningful materials which are more susceptible to damage from impact, chemicals, scratching, and other outside forces than solid metal rings would be.
The protective coating we apply over the natural materials in our rings should protect your ring against damage from water, as long as the sealant remains continuously intact around the entirety of your ring. It should also provide a more secure barrier for the natural materials in your ring from impacts and scratching but cannot be expected to be as strong as a solid metal ring. Though this sealant provides your ring with an extra level of protection and durability, it does not provide a guarantee or warranty against water damage or breakage due to impact and other forms of abuse. If the design you chose features wood or antler with exposed edges, meaning the outside edges of the ring are not protective metal walls, we would still advise that you remove your ring when coming in contact with water.
WOMEN’S RINGS: Rings that do not contain any crushed turquoise, wood, antler, etc. can be cleaned by simply using warm water and a gently brush to remove anything that may be on the surface. If your ring has prongs securing a stone(s), we recommend sending the ring in to us at least annually so we can check the prongs to ensure they’re tight and securing the stones!
Wearing Your Ring:
Because silver and gold are softer metals, the prongs on them can be worn down over time and may need to be re-tipped. Depending on how well cared for the ring is, this re-tipping may need to be done every 3-6 months, or you could go years without needing to re-tip your prongs! There are things you can do to help protect the prongs and ensure they last as long as possible, such as removing the ring for showering, being conscious of not catching the prongs on things such as clothing or hair, and removing the ring while sleeping. The ring rubbing on surfaces, such as sheets or blankets, will cause the prongs to be worn down quicker so the better cared for, the longer the prongs will remain intact and secure your stone(s).
Please note that there will be a charge to re-tip prongs and we do not cover any stones lost due to the prongs being worn down.
Inspecting Your Ring:
Inspect your ring regularly to ensure nothing looks out of the ordinary with your ring band, the stone, or the prongs securing your stones. As prongs wear down they become rough or sharp, so to catch this early on it's best to inspect and feel them regularly. We recommend getting your ring inspected at least annually and if you notice a bent or rough/sharp prong, a loose stone, or anything unusual with your ring please remove it immediately in order to avoid any gemstones or small diamond accents from falling out.

SHOP PAY
Shop Pay offers you the option to pay in full at checkout, or to split your purchase into regular payments with Shop Pay Installments. Installment options vary by store and can be used on orders over $50 USD, including discounts, shipping, and taxes.
For purchases split into 4 bi-weekly payments, there are no additional charges or interest rates applied. Purchases split into monthly payments may be subject to interest.
You can pay your balance off early without penalty.
There are no late fees. However, partial or late payments may affect your ability to use Shop Pay Installments in the future.

Yes, women's sizes 9+ and men's sizes 12 generate additional fees to cover the cost of extra material in the ring. The amount is dependent on the size and the material. Please note that these fees are not included in the listed ring prices. One of our customer service team members will reach out to you after you have completed your purchase to generate an invoice for the extra materials needed in your ring. If you have questions about the fee prior to your purchase, please reach out to us via email at info@stagheaddesigns.com.
WARRANTY
In order to ensure your ring is protected and covered in case of damage or whether it is just in need of inspection and maintenance, we have partnered with Extend to offer Protection Plans, which offer extensive warranty coverage for your item. The warranty can be purchased to cover repairs, reseals, the loss of gemstones in your item, and more! You can purchase the Protection Plan within the listing of any qualifying item, and you will be provided the option to select the duration of coverage (3 years, 5 years, or lifetime). If you do purchase this coverage, Extend will email you information on your warranty once your order has shipped.
*If you return your item for a refund, Extend will issue a pro-rated refund based on how long you have had your ring
*If no warranty is purchased, we still offer repair and maintenance services. Please file a claim using our Claims Portal
*If you purchased our in-house Staghead Warranty prior to us offering Extend, please contact us for information on what is covered
We would love to get your jewelry looking new again! We offer repair services as well as cleanings, inspections, and more. Whether you have purchased an Extend Protection Plan or need an assessment of what repairs are needed, you can file a claim using our Claims Portal
*If shipping your ring to us from outside of the U.S. we are not liable to cover any import/customs fees that may be required by the mail carrier. We will require these fees be paid by you, the customer, prior to us paying the mail carrier. If the fees are not paid in a timely manner this may result in the mail carrier returning the ring to you
SHIPPING
We have partnered with Extend to offer this Extend Shipping Protection which offers extensive coverage for lost, stolen, or damaged packages. In the event that you need to file a claim to replace your item(s) due to an issue with the shipping process, Extend will most often send you a store credit or gift card for the value of the product plus shipping costs and taxes so you can order a replacement product quickly.

We do not default to requiring a signature upon delivery for domestic shipping addresses, however there are 3 different shipping options at checkout that have the option to require a signature. For international addresses, we believe typically a signature is required upon delivery, or they will leave you a little slip to go pick up the package in person.
Yes, we ship all over the world! Basic international shipping begins at $15 for an average of 2 weeks shipping time, but you can purchase upgraded shipping at checkout. We are not responsible for any customs fees that may be due upon delivery of your package. Not all countries will require customs fees, and we have no way of knowing who will or will not be charged.

CUSTOMIZING YOUR RING

In most cases, no! The exceptions to this rule are as follows:
- Adding or replacing materials that are more expensive than what is shown
- Adding an engraving
- If your design requires more labor-intensive techniques
Our rings are fully customizable. Many clients find a style they like & want to swap out a material or alter the order or width. For this, you can share those changes in the “notes to seller” section of checkout. More elaborate requests regarding base styles or elements we do not yet have shown on the site, we use email to communicate the design process. info@stagheaddesigns.com
Many of our men’s rings can be made in a narrower width, the limitation on many of them is 6mm. You can request this in the CUSTOM REQUEST section during checkout, however if the jeweler cannot do it 6mm wide it will be made in the standard width for that ring. If you’d like to check the minimum width prior to ordering, please feel free to send us a link to the specific ring you’d like and we can verify what width it can be done in.
You are always more than welcome to put specific requests like this in the CUSTOM REQUESTS section at checkout, however keep in mind that we can never guarantee a specific outcome as these materials are natural and cannot be controlled, exactly replicated, etc. We also do our best accommodate special requests, though!
Yes! View all of our font options HERE. If you would like to change the engraving font on your ring or ring box, simply note that in the Custom Requests section during the checkout process.
Only customers who purchase a stone from the Staghead Mine are able to hand select the stone used in their ring.
For stones not purchased from the Mine, we unfortunately do not offer stone selection. Our jeweler often has to switch stones to work in certain settings. We do however have all of our stones go through our Quality Control and feel confident they will be consistent with how they are shown in many images throughout the website. You are more than welcome to include in the "Custom Request" box at checkout your preferences for how the stone looks, and we will try our best to accommodate those needs based on our inventory. Examples may include requests for darker turquoise, moss agate color specification, etc.
Yes, we love it when people can send in materials that are so meaningful to them! People frequently send us their own antler or wood pieces, and sometimes even things like sand or rocks, to be used in their specific rings, making it all the more special to them. If you would like to do this, you can simply find the ring you want to order and put in the Custom Requests section at checkout that you have your own [insert material] that you’ll be sending in to be used. We’ll then email you a Materials Form in your order confirmation email to fill out and send in with the material so we know who it belongs to once it arrives!
Please note there is a $20 materials processing fee for custom materials to be sent in. That can be added to your order HERE.
For wood, we need a 3” x 3” piece that is at least 1/2” thick.
For antler, we need a 2” x 2” piece (circumference and diameter) that is at least 1/2” thick
For most rocks/stones, we need a large marble-sized stone.
You can opt to have your materials returned to you on your Material form however if you send in materials that are larger than 3" x 3", you will NOT receive them back
If requested materials will be shipped back via USPS with in 30 days of order completion. We will not ship back any materials going to an international address
If you have other ideas for custom materials, feel free to contact us, and we can discuss with the jeweler to see if it’s possible to incorporate as there are limitations on what can be used.
Unfortunately for liability reasons, we cannot set gemstones that we did not source. This is because during the setting process stones are sometimes chipped or damaged and we are unable to replace your gemstone, especially if it has sentimental value! Alternatively, we may be able to crush your gemstone to be used in an inlay. Contact us to discuss if this would be a possibility with your gemstone.
Even though we can't set your gemstone, we would love to discuss sourcing the perfect gemstone for you to create your dream ring with. Contact us for more information and to start designing your ring.
Unfortunately this is not a service we provide at this time.
Yes, we do offer this service! The only legal way to ship cremated remains is with the United States Postal Service, specifically using Priority Mail Express® and Priority Mail Express International®. USPS requires a special cremated remains kit be used to ship the remains, and this must be ordered through USPS. Please see their website here for all details on how to legally and safely ship cremated remains.
We will need the equivalent of 1 tablespoon of the remains to be sent to us, and please note that we will not ship any excess remains once the order is completed.
When working to create something fully customized and different than anything we currently offer, please allow for additional time in response and production. This is not a process that can be easily expedited, as we want to ensure we can bring your dream ring to life! We are available Monday-Thursday; however, different Designers have individual schedules. Please understand that we respond to our customers through email in the order they are received. During high volumes of inquiries, there may be delays in response. While we are working to assist you with your design process as quickly as possible, please be aware that there may be 1-2 business days between responses. We are not available Friday-Sunday to assist with fully custom work. Please refrain from sending multiple follow-up emails, as this will automatically move your conversation to the bottom of the queue and further delay response.

The details of your ring purchase are incredibly important to us, and we want to ensure that we have absolutely clarity on what you are dreaming of! This also creates an opportunity to attach inspiration photos and have a written record of size info, materials, etc. that we can both refer back to.
Custom designs generally have an 8-week lead time once the order is placed. However, this may extend beyond 10 weeks. Please keep this in mind when planning for important dates. We cannot guarantee any completion dates with custom orders and do not offer any rush services on the design process. Custom design lead times start when the order is placed AND after we've received your desired ring size. Please note that using our ring sizing kit does delay lead times. If the design requires a CAD, we do need approval to proceed with production of the design. If you do not approve the images, the remaining time for production will not begin.
We do not reserve stones for any customer expressing interest in a particular stone from the Staghead Mine. You must complete the purchase of the stone to reserve it for yourself. Stone prices on our website do not include the cost of a custom mounting. We do not accept gemstones or diamonds to be sent in for mountings; all stones must be purchased through Staghead Designs. We do not work with raw or uncut stones; all stones available are faceted or cabochon cut. We do not offer stone cutting and faceting services for raw materials.
Custom designs are not eligible for exchanges, returns or store credit. All sales are final.
